Files created in Adobe Photoshop Elements 6 are usually compatible with earlier versions of Photoshop Elements, although new features won't be available in earlier versions.

You can capture still frames from digital videos if they are saved in a file format that Photoshop Elements can open, including .asf, .avi, MPEG, .mpg, and .mov.
